Thomas Carvings have been privileged to receive a variety of commissions from individuals and businesses for really unusual artworks over the years and are especially proud of their creations.

Wood has always been a part of Harry Thomas’ life but his carving journey began in Devon in the early nineties.

His career as a tree surgeon had allowed him to focus on building his knowledge and craft while bringing up his family with wife, Victoria.

His free spirit is most at home when out in the wilderness surrounded by nature and it was this, along with his enjoyment of the technical side of carving which inspired him to combine his talents and creativity in an attempt to master the art of chainsaw carving.

In 1992 Harry sold his first carving, launched his business and has been carving professionally ever since.

Harry is a modest man but his talents have seen him venture onto the podium many times over the years, for example coming first at the English Open Chainsaw Carving Competition four times.

Father and Son Duo, Harry and Danny Thomas are the carvers behind 'Thomas Carvings'​ a family run business in the Welsh Countryside creating bespoke works of art in Wood and Ice.

Inspired by nature and all things wonderful in life, Harry and Danny carve animals, birds, people, landscapes and pretty much everything in between.

They work on a range of woods creating fabulous commissions and stock pieces to be shipped all over the world, varying in size from anything as small as a tiny mouse to a 12ft bear.

They also travel around the country delivering Live Ice Carving Shows for Weddings, Parties and Corporate Events.

Both Harry and Danny are very experienced carvers and have gathered some unexpected celebrity status over the years.
